Football: Tigers shift to No. 10 in major polls - 1:10 p.m.

The LSU football team's close victory against Louisiana Tech on Saturday caused the Tigers to shift to No. 10 in both major polls.

LSU fell one spot in the Associated Press Top 25 from No. 9 to No. 10 and jumped up one spot from No. 11 to No. 10 in the USA Today Coaches Top 25.

Florida remained No. 1 in both polls. Texas remained No. 2 in the USA Today poll but flipped spots with Alabama in the AP poll, moving to No. 3.

The BCS standings will be released later this evening.
